President Donald Trump has touted his “great” performance in the polls amid a new survey which shows him 10 points ahead.

“Great Poll Numbers For Trump!” the president wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday. Trump was responding to a new Insider Advantage poll, conducted on June 15-16 among 1,000 likely voters, which put his approval rating at 54 percent, with 44 percent disapproving, giving him net approval rating of +10 points.

That was virtually unchanged from May, but up 8 points from April, when 46 percent approved and 44 percent disapproved. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points.

But not all polls show such positive results for Trump.

According to Newsweek’s latest tracker, Trump’s approval rating now stands at 46 percent, with 51 percent disapproving—down from 48 percent and 50 percent respectively just one week earlier.

Why It Matters

Recent surveys had shown Trump’s approval rating creeping back up after a period of decline following the introduction of his “Liberation Day” tariffs in April, which led to a decline in the stock market.

What To Know

Other polls have shown a downward trend in Trump’s approval rating, following a short-lived recovery that came in the wake of his “Liberation Day” tariffs.

According to the latest TIPP Insights/League of American Workers poll, conducted between June 9-11 among 1,584 registered voters, Trump’s approval rating currently stands at 43 percent, with 50 percent disapproving, giving him a net rating of -7 points.

That is down from a net approval of -2 points in May, when 43 percent said they approved of Trump’s job performance and 45 percent disapproved. The polls had a margin of error of between +/- 2.5 and 2.7 points.

Other pollsters also reported a downward trend. The latest YouGov/Economist poll, conducted between June 13-16 among 1,512 adults, put Trump’s approval rating at 41 percent, down 2 points since last week, with 54 percent disapproving, up 2 points since last week.

In the latest Morning Consult poll, conducted between June 13-15 among 2,207 registered voters, put Trump’s approval rating at 46 percent, with 52 percent disapproving, and the latest Echelon Insights poll, conducted between June 12-17 among 982 likely voters, put Trump’s approval rating at 45 percent, as 53 percent disapproved.

In the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll (June 11–16), Trump’s approval rating held steady at 42 percent, but his disapproval rose by 2 points to 54 percent.

A HarrisX/Harvard survey, fielded June 11–12, registered a more noticeable shift: approval slipped to 46 percent, down from 47 percent in May, while disapproval rose to 50 percent, up from 48 percent.

Still, a handful of polls recorded slight gains for Trump—though largely within the margin of error. A Verasight/Strength in Numbers poll (June 6–12) found his approval at 42 percent, up from 40 percent in May, while disapproval held steady at 56 percent.

An RMG Research poll (June 2–12) showed a modest 1-point rise in approval to 52 percent, with disapproval unchanged at 46 percent.

Similarly, a J.L. Partners/Daily Mail poll (June 10–11) of 1,807 registered voters showed Trump at 48 percent approval, up 1 point from the previous week, and 52 percent disapproval, down a point. The poll has a margin of error of 2.3 percentage points.

Meanwhile, an NBC News/Survey Monkey poll (May 30–June 10) showed no change in Trump’s net approval from the previous month, remaining at -10 points, with 45 percent approving and 55 percent disapproving.
