President Donald Trump has touted his “great” performance in the polls amid a new survey which shows him 10 points ahead.
“Great Poll Numbers For Trump!” the president wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday. Trump was responding to a new Insider Advantage poll, conducted on June 15-16 among 1,000 likely voters, which put his approval rating at 54 percent, with 44 percent disapproving, giving him net approval rating of +10 points.
That was virtually unchanged from May, but up 8 points from April, when 46 percent approved and 44 percent disapproved. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points.
But not all polls show such positive results for Trump.
According to Newsweek’s latest tracker, Trump’s approval rating now stands at 46 percent, with 51 percent disapproving—down from 48 percent and 50 percent respectively just one week earlier.
Why It Matters
Recent surveys had shown Trump’s approval rating creeping back up after a period of decline following the introduction of his “Liberation Day” tariffs in April, which led to a decline in the stock market.
