Bryson DeChambeau has never been shy about pushing boundaries on the course, and now he is continuing the momentum under President Donald Trump.

The LIV Golf star, often praised by Trump and LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil for his innovative approach to growing the game, made headlines again this week.

This time it was not for a viral swing or a YouTube “Break 50” challenge, but for stepping into a new leadership role at the national level.

Almost two months after teeing off with Trump at TPC White House, DeChambeau returned to the White House on Thursday, this time, suited up for a different kind of mission.

Standing alongside WWE legend Triple H, NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, and other top athletes, DeChambeau helped unveil the relaunch of the Presidential Fitness Test as part of an executive order signed by Trump to expand the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.

“We believe we can change the fabric of our communities and kids’ livelihoods for the future generations that are to come,” DeChambeau stated during the announcement as posted by Nuclr Golf on X. “I can’t thank you enough and looking forward to making massive changes in kids’ lives and America’s future”.

Per reports, the initiative marks a revival of the school fitness program first introduced under President Dwight Eisenhower in 1956. It was phased out in 2012 during former President Barack Obama’s administration, replaced by a broader youth wellness model.

Now, under Trump’s directive, the test is back, with DeChambeau leading the charge.

In an interview on Fox News Channel’s Special Report with Bret Baier, DeChambeau explained his motivation.

“I grew up in an era in my public education side of the coin where we had a fitness test,” he told the reporter. “And you know, for me, all I want to do is inspire the next generation of young individuals that have passion around sport, health, nutrition, and fitness. Re-establishing the President’s Sports Council as well as the fitness test is a huge initiative for America and its health and fitness all across the board.

“So, we couldn’t be more excited. I’ve got a great team behind me. We’re establishing more council members as time is going on. And we’re going to be excited to showcase what we have for the American public here soon.”

DeChambeau’s own transformation is well-documented. Once dubbed “The Incredible Bulk” for his 6,000-calorie-a-day diet and 40-pound weight gain in pursuit of driving dominance, he later admitted the regimen had adverse health effects and slimmed down significantly.

Now, with over 2 million YouTube subscribers, DeChambeau’s influence stretches far beyond fairways.

His latest “Break 50” video, featuring Adam Sandler in full Happy Gilmore mode, racked up 6 million views in just a few days.

“I want to get kids excited about pushing themselves,” DeChambeau shared with Fox News after his address at the White House announcement.

With the 2025 Ryder Cup and 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, DeChambeau’s new role positions him not just as a golf disruptor but as a voice for youth fitness in America.
