Recent meetings with US officials have been “useful,” according to Grigory Karasin, a Russian senator who is part of Moscow’s delegation in Riyadh for Ukraine war talks, Russian state media reported.
“(We) discussed everything, and the dialogue was detailed and complex but quite useful for us and for the Americans,” Karasin said Tuesday, according to TASS news agency.
The senator added that future talks on Russia’s war in Ukraine would include the international community, including the United Nations and other countries.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia and the US were “analyzing the reports they got on the results of the negotiations” in the Saudi capital.
Peskov said Monday’s talks between Russian and US officials were “technical” and that their full content would not be made public. He added that there were no “specific” dates for the next talks with the US.
A US delegation also met with Ukrainian officials separately in recent days as the Trump administration tries to broker an end to the war.
